PBO fiber, short for poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole) fiber, is one of the strongest known organic fibers, exhibiting exceptional tensile strength and modulus. It also possesses outstanding thermal stability and flame-retardant properties.
With a heat resistance of up to 600°C and a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 68%, PBO fiber maintains stable performance in high-temperature, flame, and complex chemical environments. It is widely used in high-end protective gear, heat-resistant industrial base fabrics, flame-retardant textiles, and other extreme condition applications.
